Rosebury Sofa – 3D Model | Next
The Rosebury is a fully production-ready sofa model created for Next, built with a strong focus on realism, clean topology, and flexibility for commercial use.
The original hero model was created and approved as the master asset, from which multiple size variations were then developed. These variants were carefully derived to ensure proportions, cushion behaviour, and overall silhouette remained consistent across the range, allowing the product to be used confidently across different formats and layouts without visual compromise.
The base model was carefully constructed to capture the soft, contemporary shape of the Rosebury design, with particular attention paid to the subtle curvature of the arms, the proportion of the back cushions, and the natural compression in the seat cushions. The cushioning was shaped to feel supportive yet relaxed, ensuring the model reads as comfortable and believable in both close-up product shots and wider roomset renders.
As part of this project, I also designed and modelled custom feet specifically for the Rosebury, ensuring they matched the brand’s design language while remaining efficient and optimised for production use. These were built from scratch and integrated cleanly into the asset, maintaining consistent scale and proportion across all size variants.
The topology was kept clean and animation-friendly, striking a balance between detail and performance so the asset remains suitable for high-volume commercial pipelines. The final model supports multiple fabric types and colourways, making it adaptable for a wide range of marketing and configurator use cases.
This project demonstrates:
-Accurate furniture modelling
-Cushion and upholstery shaping
-Custom component creation (feet)
-Size variant development from an approved hero asset
-Production-focused topology and optimisation
-Close alignment with brand requirements and style guidelines
