Astronaut

This piece is a fully realised composite combining live-action greenscreen footage with CG environment and assets. The astronaut performance was sourced from ActionVFX and integrated into a custom-built sci-fi scene.

The planetary environment and meteor elements were created in Blender, while the spacecraft was modelled and rendered in Maya. To ensure cohesive lighting across all elements, a custom HDRI was generated from the Blender environment and used to light the ship render, helping unify the scene.

The final composite was completed in Nuke, where all elements were brought together through keying, integration, and colour work, with additional atmospheric effects to enhance depth and realism.
