I took on this challenge at the last minute, approaching it with a technical focus on the integration of a green screen. The concept revolved around seamlessly blending digital assets into a live-action environment. For the planet, I repurposed a model I had previously created for another project that’s still a work in progress, refining its details in Blender. For the space station, I used Maya to design and build the structure, ensuring both elements were visually cohesive. Afterward, I exported the AOVs from both Blender and Maya, carefully preserving the necessary passes for compositing. These passes were then imported into Nuke, where I meticulously worked on integrating the assets, applying color grading, and fine-tuning the final shot to create a polished result. The process involved extensive attention to detail to ensure a smooth blend between the 3D assets and live-action elements.
