Orlo Sofa – Fabric & Leather Variants
The Orlo is a fully bespoke sofa model developed in both fabric and leather variants, with each version tailored to suit the material’s unique characteristics. The fabric version focuses on soft forms and natural cushioning, while the leather variant includes custom-built stitching, panel seams, and edge detailing to accurately reflect real-world upholstery construction.
For the leather version, MASH simulation was used to generate the stitching, allowing for consistent spacing, realistic flow, and precise placement along seams and panel edges. This approach ensured the stitching followed the curvature of the model cleanly while remaining efficient and production-friendly.
Particular attention was paid to seam placement, tension, and curvature to ensure the leather behaves believably across the arms, back, and cushions without overcomplicating the topology. Both variants were optimised for production use, balancing realism with clean, manageable geometry.
In addition to the core model, multiple size variations were created from the approved base asset, ensuring consistency across the range while maintaining correct proportions and detailing. This allowed the Orlo to be used flexibly across different layouts and configurations while retaining a high level of visual fidelity.
