Inspired by a trip to Black Rock in the Peak District, I created Castle in the Sky, a scene blending fantasy and realism. The project began with a cloud simulation in Blender, where I used models from Render Crate to design a castle peeking through the clouds. I then lit the scene within Blender before importing the AOVs into Nuke for compositing. In Nuke, I tracked the movement, created a clean roto from the background plate, and carefully color-matched and lit all elements to ensure seamless integration. To finish, I added a digital matte painting to enhance the scene, giving it a more immersive and polished final look.
